If you generate myth pips exclusively you won't be able to use deer knight (since that requires death pip, not a "normal" power pip), but if I understand things correct you can still use scarecrow at 4 myth school pips if you're a death.

I'd say the logger now gives the most energy for the gear and the packs to get the spells is from the Winter Wonder Pack (2019) but its best to just farm for the spellements from loremaster. If you never have gotten the krampus or reindeer knight spellements and you get it from a drop from lore it should give 30 but i'm not sure i'll verify ...
