They have consistently reached about 9k to 10k hp when leveled to 20 for me. I find them to be the best followers in general. I sometimes hear fighters are better suited to combat than bearers, but I haven't seen why. They seem to fight about the same. Maybe their stats level differently or something but I haven't noticed.
